Smarter booking defaults, richer text fields, and a more flexible admin workspace

This release brings safer default booking settings for new practices, clearer FAQ category management, rich text formatting for long-text fields, more transparent network access rules, a hideable admin header, resizable panels, and simplified branding colors, alongside numerous fixes to booking displays, security screens, and page layouts.

Features

  • Safer booking defaults for new practices: newly created practices start with online booking off and new client bookings requiring manual confirmation, with clearer guidance in booking settings explaining how organization, service, staff, and availability settings all affect what clients can book online.
  • FAQ category management: FAQ editors can now create and manage categories from an embedded dialog without leaving the edit form.
  • Clearer calendar and appointment details: calendar date ranges now include weekday names, appointment details show the location as its own item, and staff availability views use the full width of the screen.
  • Rich formatting for long text fields: custom long-text fields (such as biographies and notes) now support bold, italic, underline, lists, and links by default, with an option to keep them as plain text.
  • Clearer explanations for network access restrictions: the network access settings now show exactly what will happen for the practice's current network under each restriction mode, both before and after switching.
  • One header that hides when you want more room: the admin header stays visible by default and can now be hidden and brought back on demand (by hovering near the top, using keyboard focus, or pressing "H"), giving more room to work.
  • Read and unread task updates: task update notifications now separate unread items from read ones, so new updates are never lost in a long list.
  • Clearer sign-in messaging: when an extra network security check is needed at sign-in, the screen now says so immediately instead of showing a generic loading message.
  • Organized email templates: the email template picker now groups templates by category, and appointment and reminder emails are organized by who they are addressed to.
  • Simpler settings navigation: Integrations and Security settings now live together under Configuration, instead of being spread across separate sections.
  • Drag-and-drop preview: dragging a section on a detail page, or a widget on the dashboard in customize mode, now shows exactly where it will land before you drop it.
  • Resizable panels and columns: the activity panel and the two-column layout on detail pages and the dashboard can now be resized by dragging, and your preferred sizes are remembered across every page.
  • Simplified branding colors: practice branding now uses two colors (primary and secondary) instead of four, with supporting styles derived automatically.
  • Richer invitation and access history: staff and client invitation history now includes search, filters, and sorting, and Client Access shows the linked client portal profile.

Fixes

  • FAQ saving fixed: saving an FAQ after creating or selecting a category from the manage-categories dialog now works reliably, and closing that dialog no longer accidentally navigates away from the form.
  • Service location display corrected: a service's offered locations now show clearly as a single label with color indicators, instead of an inconsistent list of names.
  • Consistent security screens: the sign-in, screen-lock, and password-verification screens now share the same size, spacing, and appearance on both desktop and mobile.
  • Verification email text fixed: the account verification email no longer shows a broken sentence when a practice has not set up both an email address and a phone number for contact.
  • Layout and label fixes: spacing between page columns is now consistent, the activity panel no longer leaves an empty gap when no banner is shown above it, and a couple of screens no longer showed raw text codes instead of proper labels.
  • Reliable drag-and-drop: dragging a section onto a full-width area now lands where the preview shows, and resizing panels with the keyboard no longer risks failed saves elsewhere in the app.

Security and reliability

  • More reliable sign-in: a temporary error while checking network access rules can no longer block a sign-in that has already succeeded.
  • Safer rich text entry: custom long-text fields with formatting now reliably block unsafe pasted content and unsafe links, both in the practice portal and the client portal.
  • Ongoing dependency security maintenance: underlying software components were updated to address known security advisories.
