A new Client Portal Home built around the next appointment

The Client Portal Dashboard is now Home, a single-column page that puts the next appointment first, with clear actions and a one-step way to book again. English dates and times now follow EU English everywhere, with the day before the month and a 24-hour clock.

Features

  • Home built around the next appointment: the Client Portal Dashboard is now Home, a single column that opens with the next appointment, showing how far away it is, the date and time, the staff member with their photo, and the location with Directions.
  • Clear appointment actions: Add to calendar and Reschedule sit on the appointment card, Cancel lives on the appointment detail page, and a confirmed appointment shows no status while a pending one shows an Awaiting confirmation tag with a note on what happens next.
  • Calendar file for an appointment: Add to calendar now gives you a calendar file for one upcoming appointment that you can open in your own calendar app.
  • Contact strip when a change is blocked: when an appointment can no longer be changed online, a Contact to cancel or Contact to reschedule strip shows the location's phone number so people know whom to call.
  • Book again with choices filled in: when nothing is upcoming, Home names the last visit and opens the booking page with its service, location and staff member already chosen, and a first-time empty state invites a first booking or points to the phone when online booking is closed.
  • A calmer page: the welcome banner is gone, the top bar no longer names the page, and the page heading now does that job, with Contact always shown last.
  • EU English dates and times: English dates now put the day before the month and use a 24-hour clock, for example Wednesday 7 October at 13:00, and birth dates are written without a leading zero, such as 2 June 1988.
  • Date hints only when they help: a hint now appears only when it adds a fact, such as the exact time behind a relative time or your own time when you are on a different clock, and dates in another year now name the year.
  • Sidebar collapse follows you: whether the sidebar is collapsed is now saved per person and follows you to another device in the admin portal and the Client Portal, and in the Client Portal a click on the logo of a collapsed sidebar now expands it. If you had collapsed the sidebar before, it shows expanded once and one click collapses it again.

Fixes

  • Favourite view stays selected: when you edit a favourite saved view, its shortcut in the admin sidebar now stays selected instead of switching to the general list.
  • Password change redirect: leaving the password change screen no longer sends you back to a different page when the countdown ends.
  • English date headings: the date headings in booking, the dashboard date, release digests and staff celebrations showed US-style dates in English and now follow EU English.

Security and reliability

  • Safer pasting in the editor: the text editor was updated with additional safeguards for content pasted into it.
  • Image handling update: the component that processes images was updated to a version with a security fix.
  • Clear feedback for the sidebar: a sidebar setting that cannot be saved now tells you so in a short message instead of failing quietly.
  • More resilient Client Portal: the Client Portal now keeps loading even when your saved display preferences cannot be read.
