Release Notes

v0.8.3

Flexible date-range booking and a new release notes site

This release adds flexible date-range searching and day-grouped time slots to booking across the admin calendar, client portal, and public booking page, simplifies appointment notes, and introduces a public release notes site with weekly and monthly summaries.

Features

  • Flexible date-range booking search: when scheduling an appointment from the admin calendar, the client portal, or the public booking page, staff and patients can now search across a range of dates instead of just one, up to the practice's maximum booking-ahead period.
  • Appointments grouped by day: available time slots are now organized into clear day-by-day sections, and the selected appointment date is shown alongside the time and staff member in the booking summary.
  • Simpler appointment notes: the note a patient adds when booking is now labeled "Appointment notes" and appears once in a single, full-width field, removing a confusing duplicate.
  • Book with any available staff member: choosing "Any available" when booking now reliably assigns the actual staff member from the selected time slot, so the appointment stays consistent even after refreshing or changing dates.
  • Clearer staff availability on calendars: times when staff or a location are unavailable are now shown with a consistent hatched pattern across booking calendars.
  • New public release notes site: practices can now browse weekly and monthly summaries of Praxium updates, open individual release details, and switch languages, with improved date filters for finding past updates.

Fixes

  • More reliable release update filters: the Apply and Clear buttons on the weekly and monthly update filters now behave consistently and no longer disappear unexpectedly.
  • Correct special characters in update summaries: apostrophes and other characters now display correctly in release note previews.
  • Tidier booking confirmation buttons: the buttons for confirming and verifying a public booking are now consistently aligned.

Security and reliability

  • Safer disabled buttons: buttons that appear disabled or are loading can no longer be accidentally triggered, preventing unintended actions.
  • More consistent appointment time handling: searching for available appointment slots now applies time zone rules consistently, reducing the chance of mismatched times.
