Week 20: Patient Portal Controls, Refreshed Navigation, and In-App Feedback
May 11, 2026 - May 17, 20262 releases
This week's updates give you finer control over patient portal visibility, a cleaner navigation experience across the admin portal, and a new way for staff and clients to share feedback directly from within Praxium.
- Patient Portal: Decide exactly which sections and fields each patient can see, and portal emails now carry your practice branding.
- Navigation: The sidebar now peeks open on hover, the profile menu has moved to the sidebar footer, and activity panels are more consistent across the app.
- Feedback: A new floating feedback button lets staff and clients report bugs, request features, or leave comments from any portal, with a reference code for follow-up.
- Security: IP restrictions for the team portal and hardened two-step login boundaries add extra protection for patient data.
Features
- Patient portal profiles: Decide exactly which sections and fields each patient can see.
- Practice branding applied to portal emails, so messages to patients carry your identity.
- Refreshed client and appointment detail screens with a clearer two-column layout.
- A redesigned dashboard activity panel with quick refresh and a tidier sidebar.
- Every change to your practice settings is now recorded in the activity history, so you can see exactly what changed and when.
- A sticky save bar on longer forms keeps Save and Cancel within reach as you scroll.
- Starter content for three practice types — physiotherapy, dentistry, and hairdressing — so a new practice can begin with relevant sample data instead of an empty workspace.
- In-app feedback button: A floating button is now available on every portal — admin, client, and internal. Click it to report a bug, request a feature, or leave a general comment. After submitting, you receive a reference code (starting with PRX-) so you can follow up if needed.
- Improved sidebar navigation: The sidebar now peeks open when you hover over it while collapsed, making it easier to navigate without fully expanding it.
- Profile menu moved to the sidebar: Your account menu is now in the sidebar footer instead of the header, keeping the top of the screen cleaner.
- Consistent activity panels: Activity panels on entity detail pages now match the look and behaviour of the dashboard activity panel, including close, maximise, and reopen controls.
- Simplified dashboard controls: The dashboard now refreshes automatically every five minutes, and the manual interval picker has been removed to keep the interface clean.
