Week 30: Faster, more reliable booking and multi-location custom fields
Jul 20, 2026 - Jul 26, 20266 releases
This week's updates make booking faster and more reliable, while giving multi-location practices better control over staff and custom field information.
- Booking: Services and visit reasons are now combined into one catalog, booking pages load faster, and double bookings are prevented.
- Staff photos: Upload failures have been fixed and photos can now be set individually for each location.
- Custom fields: Practices can store different values per location for staff, clients, services, and organizations, with clearer validation guidance.
- Security: Uploaded files are now encrypted and scanned for malware before use.
Features
- Unified service catalog: Services and Visit Reasons are now two views of the same catalog, switched with a single toggle.
- Flexible booking choices: practices can let clients book an exact service, a visit reason, or either, across the admin portal, client portal, and booking widget.
- Faster path to open slots: the public booking page now offers a one-click jump to the next available slot when none are found in the selected range.
- Location-specific custom fields: staff, client, service, and organization records can now hold different field values at each location.
- Per-location staff photos: the staff detail page now shows which photo appears at each public location.
- Improved visit reason management: new tabs, clearer lists, and a single switch for online visibility.
Fixes
- Staff photo uploads: repeated upload failures introduced in recent releases have been resolved, and photos now display reliably everywhere.
- Booking page timeouts: the public booking page no longer fails to load when searching a wide date range.
- Double-booking prevention: only one client can now successfully book a slot when two people try at the same time.
- Corrected appointment pricing: completed appointments missing price information were automatically corrected using location pricing.
- Calendar and display corrections: appointment cards, activity history wrapping, and several minor display issues were fixed.
Security and reliability
- Stronger file protection: staff photos, documents, and attachments are now encrypted and scanned for malware before becoming available.
- Platform security update: core components were updated to resolve known moderate-or-higher security issues.
- Improved activity access controls: location-specific activity is now only visible to staff with access to that location.
- Leaner default setup: new practices no longer receive an unused default integration profile.
